Halfway Point~ 10 in 10

Well, we're halfway through the 10 days, and I'm NOT halfway through my 10 tasks. I did manage to get a few things crossed off my list, though.

I cleaned out Tootsie's room and donated some of her large baby toys to a church nursery, so she has a lot more room to play now!

Next up was the chest in the living room that we use to hold library books. At least, that was its initial purpose. Over time, it's managed to collect not only books, but also papers, yarn/knitting projects, a half-complete braided rug, dog toys, and lots of books that were stashed in there instead of being put away. I didn't think to take a before pic, but I remembered when I had the contents sorted into piles on the floor and couch...
{and there are still some books inside!}
These are the only things in the chest now. On the left is a stack of library books. In the middle is my Bible. And on the right is a stack of homeschool curriculum we'll be using this year. (I still have to order a few more things so I can't cross that off the list yet.) This thing was packed full and very unorganized, so this is a huge improvement!

I also finally got the entry wall painted with chalkboard paint. This is the wall on your left as you enter the house through the garage. My plan is to use this wall for our memory verses, notes for homeschooling activities, and general doodling for kids of all ages. We'll also hang our world map here for our geography studies this year...
{This door leads into the garage}

{I didn't even get to doodle yet, but I wanted to share a pic anyway}

It's going to be a busy week with soccer camp, golf camp, and some time at the pool. Hope I can pull this off!

1. paint flower pots
2. paint frame
3. paint "M"
4. paint chalkboard wall :)
5. order homeschool curriculum
6. reorganize book chest :)
7. put straw under strawberry plants
8. hang curtains in bedroom
9. sew handbag/purse
10. clean out/donate old toys :)

You are getting there. Love the wall and wish I had a chest like that in my house to store my library books (my books are on top of the cat tower of which the cat won't use, so not looking good).

Great job Marie! :) I was just telling my husband about the chalkboard paint yesterday. He had never heard about it but thought it was a neat concept. I showed him your wall and I think the wheels are turning now...:)

I love the chalkboard! I'm thinking about doing that to one of our closets that had an unfortunate run in with a two year old.

You're making some great progress!
