Cream Puff Cake

My pal, Heather at Four Loud Monkeys, is thinking 'summer'. I'm totally joining in! In this week's edition of her Tasty Tuesday, she's sharing her recipe for Mediterranean Pepper Salad. Yum.

I'll add a summer dessert with this Cream Puff Cake. I tend to make it throughout the summer, and truth be told, throughout the year. It's super easy and super yummy.

Cream Puff Cake

1/2 cup butter
1 cup water
1 cup flour
4 eggs, beat separately
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 3/4 cup milk
2 small boxes instant pudding (chocolate or vanilla)
Cool Whip
chocolate syrup

Heat butter and water together to boiling. Remove from heat. Mix in 1 cup flour to form a ball. Add 4 eggs, one at a time. Mix after each addition until smooth. Spread in 9 x 13 pan, sprayed with non-stick spray. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool. In a bowl, mix cream cheese and 1/4 cup milk by hand. (whisk) In separate bowl, mix pudding and remaining milk by hand. Mix both together. Pour over crust and spread Cool Whip on top. Drizzle with chocolate syrup. Keep refrigerated.
