Another Field Trip Friday

Guess where we went today?

We took a delightful tour of a nearby dairy farm!

It was so much fun, and the cows were all sweet and beautiful...young and old.

But this one...

She was my absolute favorite.

I so wanted to load her up in my minivan and bring her home.

My hand was actually sore from the wonderful sandpaper tongue that licked and licked and licked.

Look at those little teeth.
Adorable.

You'd never know just how allergic this guy is to hay and dust. His eyes and throat could be closed up, and he would stay in the barn. He loves the farm atmosphere so much. The other kids on the tour had moved on to the next thing, and he just patiently waited here...determined to become friends with this timid little girl.

This kind of country field trip will always beat a city trip in my book.
What's not to love?

Every time we go home to Norway we visit every farmer we know to have a good time with all the animals. Horses, cows, calfs, sheep, lambs, ponies, goats, we love them all.
I pretty much grew up on farms and have always loved it there.
I am so glad you all had such a great time. I love the look on your kid's faces. Pure joy.

Yup, kids love farms! My kids loved the calves, back when we had them.

Looks like a really fun day!
