Living Room Picnic

Well, I was going to show you some of the things I accomplished this weekend...

 {like this procrastinated paint job}

{or the project that left these happy scraps}

However...it's a dark, rainy day here in Pennsylvania, and I can't get a good picture to save my life. So that will have to wait. Flexibility, right?

On Friday, the little monsters spent the day outside, cleaning and clearing the woods. One of our big projects this spring will be building a tree house, so they're extremely motivated to get everything cleaned up and ready. They spent a good bit of time and energy on this stubborn root...but they prevailed.

We had a large lunch yesterday, so we weren't very hungry for dinner. {I was also in a deep conversation with my sewing machine, and Hubby was having words with his laptop.} So the chaos-makers were in charge of the grub. They did a fantastic job! They put together a yummy finger food spread, and we ate picnic-style on a blanket on the living room floor.

 {strawberries and apples}

 {hard boiled eggs and herbed tortilla rounds}

 {almonds and raisins}

OK, I'm hungry after looking at that dinner. Do your kids want to come and "cook" for us, too?!?;)

I want to hear about how you painted that stairwell, baby! Maybe you can pack everyone up and head South to help me paint...and the kids can make the food...just a thought...

Can't wait to see what you made with that fabric and WOO HOO for Jill.
Keeping her in our prayers at the Country House!
Happy Monday, Miss Marie!
