A is for alligator

I've been trying to figure out what to do with Tootsie when I'm homeschooling the boys. She's happy, but she wants to watch more and more TV. Not good. I don't mind The Letter Factory DVD or some Sesame Street. It has its place and purpose. But it's not a baby sitter. {Sometimes I have to repeat that...it's not a babysitter. It's not a babysitter.}

Anyway, I became pretty motivated when I came across a few sites with some preschool ideas. We're going to start focusing on a new letter each week, reading books and doing projects that highlight that letter all week long. {in little bits} We started today, and she seemed to really like it. We'll see how it goes:)

Here are some links with great preschool ideas:
Preschool Printables from Homeschool Creations
ABC Crafts from Totally Tots

I'll bet she'll be reading early. Do all the letters resemble something that starts with that letter? Cute idea.

That alligator is really cute and so is Tootsie. I remember my foster siblings loved it when I played school with them while I was doing my homework. I would make them some worksheets myself and have them cut and clue paper onto letters I made for them. That would usually give me enough peace to get my homework done :)

Marianne~ That's a great idea! I bet if her brothers made her a special paper to do, she'd be more excited about doing it than if it came from me:) Thanks!
