I know fall is on its way. It's coming fast and strong. I'm starting to change from seashells to leaves and pumpkins, and I'm even enjoying it. The small "summer" quilt hanging in my living room will soon be replaced with a heavier flannel-backed "fall" quilt. I have empty canning jars waiting to hold this year's apple butter and apple pie filling. I love this time of year.
But when a beautiful sunny day warms the air and reminds me that fall hasn't quite sent summer packing...I grab it with both hands. And head to the pool.

Oh yes! My husband had said a few days ago that we were going to take down the pool this weekend and then yesterday the temperature was into the high 90s! My girls and a friend were back into the pool and had a great time. :) We too are holding on to these last few days of summer, but also looking forward to hiking around on crunchy leaves with great anticipation.
That looks like so much fun! It's been so cold here the last few days, there's no way we could swim.
You know it's fall when yesterday seeing the pictures of your kids swimming would have looked inviting. Today - with the cool breeze and overcast skies - I shivered when I saw them in the water! :)
Melinda- Yeah, we're definitely coming into hot cocoa-crunchy leaves-warm quilt weather. A photo of pumpkin pie might be more appropriate:)
